Clients return to broker associate Geoff Russell again and again for many reasons- notably his impressive sales record (he is a consistent Top Producer and sold Houston's most expensive home, a $6,000,000 property, in 1998) and service-oriented approach. "I always do what I say I am going to do," says Geoff. "I return clients' calls and e-mails right away, and I make sure they are always aware of what is happening with their transactions."
Geoff is also much complimented on his wit and sense of humor. "I think it's important to keep things "light" during the heavy decision-making processes involved in buying or selling real estate," he says. "I find a sense of humor is something my clients really appreciate."
The son of an aviator in the U.S. Navy, Geoff's general likeablility can be attributed to meeting so many different types of people as a child. "My family lived all over the United States," he says. After graduating from University of Mississippi, he settled in Houston in 1974, and has lived in Hyde Park for the past 20 years.
Geoff had no trouble choosing a career path- he says, "I'm a born salesman!" He developed his natural sales ability as the manager of The Shop of John Simmons, a gift and furniture emporium in Houston's famed Galleria. He transferred these skills to real estate in 1978, because "houses were the biggest thing I could think of to sell."
Geoff specializes in residential single-family homes and town houses in Houston's "Inner Loop," as well as the Bellaire, Galleria and Memorial areas. His interests include cars, reading, movies, travel, architecture and design. He is also a supporter of animals and the environment.
