A second generation John Daugherty agent, Lynn Zeid inherited a love of real estate from her stepfather. After purchasing and selling real estate as personal investments for nearly 20 years, Lynn Zeid decided to become a Realtor-a profession friends immediately knew she would excel at. "Real estate suits my personality," says Lynn, who clients describe as friendly, a gregarious person and a good listener. "I want my clients to feel assured that I will serve their needs first." Adopting John Daugherty's creed, "I believe the three most important duties to my clients is to market, educate and communicate."
Lynn has been a resident of Houston for more than 35 years and currently lives in West University. "I'm an Inner Loop enthusiast-I love all the different ‘flavors' found within the loop!" she says. Skilled at networking, conflict resolution and negotiation, she loves helping families find the ideal homes for their needs and budgets. She's attuned to utilizing social media to market properties-a tool many Realtors are new to. Lynn recently acquired her Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designation and is anticipating receiving her Master Negotiation Expert (MNE) certification by spring of 2012.
A graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in communications, Lynn worked for 14 years as a development director for nonprofits-including Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and Houston Ballet-as well as for RITE, a division of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Her former career taught her the importance of "putting the right people together to obtain an objective." She says, "I'm proud of the growth I saw under my direction in the nonprofits I helped develop."
Lynn has two daughters, ages 6 and 8, and a 7-year-old stepdaughter. "I love showing the world to my girls and, in turn, seeing it through their eyes," she says. Involved with the Houston community, Lynn gives back through volunteering with Houston Ballet-a place that's near and dear to her heart, as a former ballet dancer-and at her children's school, West University Elementary.
