BRIARGROVE PARK REAL ESTATE

Briargrove Park is a charming neighborhood that enjoys a great location at the corner of Beltway 8 and Westheimer Road.  Begun in approximately 1961, the neighborhood was literally wrought out of dense piney woods just north of FM 1493 which is now commonly known as Westheimer Road.  The majority of the homes were built between the years 1964-1969.  The area west of Seagler Road was then added and more homes in the "latest" soft contemporary style were built in the early to mid 1970's.  Typically the homes range in size from the front of the neighborhood at Westheimer progressively larger as you go northward past Briar Forest to the back section.  The ultimate street in the neighborhood is Briar Drive particularly if you are lucky enough to have a home that backs to the lovely ravine and natural settings of Buffalo Bayou.

Briargrove Park is known as being a great place to raise a family, and for its exceptionally friendly residents and convenient Westchase business and retail district.  Primary students in the neighborhood attend the award-winning Briargrove Park Elementary School, which sees tremendous community involvement. The neighborhood also has a community center with a pool and recreation facility, home of the Briargrove Park Swim Team, and a popular spot among local children during the summer months.

Real Estate

Briargrove Park real estate is comprised of about 1,000 homes, ranging in price from the low $200,000's to the high $900,000's. Many have large lots and beautiful trees. Originally, the neighborhood was primarily made up of one and one-and-a-half-story ranch-style homes. Deed restrictions were modified in 1986 to allow for two-story homes. Soon after, some of the older ranch homes were torn down and replaced with new construction.
