CHAMPIONS AREA REAL ESTATE
Welcome To Champions Area
Champions is one of the Houston area's frst and most established large-scale residential developments. Its name has cometo signify many of the surrounding neighborhoods south of The Woodlands in that portion of Houston's growing northwest corridor north of Beltway 8, east of Highway 249 and west of Interstate 45.
The opening of Houston Intercontinental Airport (now George Bush Intercontinental Airport) initiated substantial residential development in the 1960s. Champions was created as a premier golf community built around the Champions Golf Club and Champions Courses founded by noted golfers Jackie Burke and Jimmie Demaret.
The northern part of Champions, known as Champions North, surrounds Cypress Creek golf course. The subdivision's southern wing, Champions South, surrounds the Jack Rabbit golf course. All of the Champions area is a haven for a number of top golf courses, including those of Raveneaux Country Club and Northgate Forest.
Champions remains popular with golfers of all ages. Increasing numbers of its expansive, single-family homes, most on large wooded lots, have been substantially updated or replaced by more recent construction.
Public-school students in Champions attend award-winning Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District schools.
