John A. Daugherty, Jr., a third generation Houstonian, brokered his first home sale in 1966.  Even before his first sale, his natural instinct and talents convinced him that real estate would be his career.  Nine months after he sold his first home, he founded John Daugherty, Realtors.

 Determined to make his company the best, he based his philosophy on two principles: superior service and maximum teamwork.  He concentrated on the close-in areas of River Oaks, Memorial/Spring Branch, Tanglewood, Briargrove, Rice University-Medical Center-Museum District, West University and Bellaire.  He knew that there was considerable inner movement between these neighborhoods.  Realizing that this inner movement had grown to include Sugar Land-Ft. Bend County, West Houston, Katy-Cinco Ranch and The Woodlands-Montgomery County, John Daugherty opened an office in West Houston to serve these areas.  John Daugherty, Realtors, now serves the entire Greater Houston area.
